J.W. Doye (Insulation) Limited was established in 1983 and has held an asbestos removal licence since the Asbestos Licensing Regulations were first introduced in the same year. The company operates from the original premises based in Romford, Essex.
The last 25 years has seen J.W. Doye grow from a small sub-contract company into a medium sized quality asbestos removal company which has built strong relationships with an extensive and respected base of varying clients.
Doyes, as the company is now widely and affectionately known, is one of a growing number of companies to be awarded the ARCA Site Audit Accreditation Scheme Award (SAAS), it has been a member of ARCA, (The Asbestos Removal Contractors Association) since May 1989.
The business has been built up on the professional and personal service it provides all customers new and existing. The services that Doyes offer are predominantly asbestos removal and asbestos surveys which include subsequent associated works such as reinstatement, thermal insulation and installation of fire protection.
Doyes has an annual turnover of around £2M and directly employs an average of 25 people.
The company achieved quality assurance accreditation to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Certificate No: 10425 in July 1999.
Numerous contracts have been carried out by Doyes for local authorities in civic centres, schools and domestic properties. NHS Trusts, English Heritage, government institutions and many blue chip private sector companies are also regular clients. The companys management team along with supervisors and operatives are well motivated and trained while carrying out their duties responsibly with due regard to health & safety, codes of practice and safe working procedures, thereby maintaining high standards of safe workmanship and quality.
In July 2006 a satellite office was opened in central Reading. This office was originally intended to be used to service the main term contract the company has enjoyed over recent years for Reading Borough Council, its success has aided its potential to secure additional clients and contracts in the M4 corridor area.
